The Bake Off judge commented, "What inspired me to develop this range with the brilliant Ronit Furst was winning Spectacle Wearer of the Year and the many people, women and men, who have complimented me on my love of colour." While Ronit Furst is known for its hand-painted frames, this collection has been developed from existing hand-printed patterns in order to be able to offer it with an affordable price range. It used acetate frames in accurate colour tones to form a “sleeker cohesive collection,” the company explained. Mark Carpenter of MAC and PURE Eyewear, wholesaler and joint licensee of the collection, added, "MAC and PURE Eyewear are delighted to announce their co-agreement with Ronit Furst to promote our new collection, Prue by Ronit Furst.
