Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman has been unveiled as the latest ambassador for luxury jewellery house Tiffany & Co, joining a roster of high-profile personalities associated with the iconic brand, including Anya Taylor-Joy and Greta Lee.
The appointment brings Portman together with a jewellery house she has known since her teenage years. Her connection with Tiffany & Co goes beyond its reputation as a luxury brand, with the actress recalling how its jewellery featured in popular culture and important occasions during her youth.
One of her earliest associations with the brand came through the classic film Breakfast at Tiffany's, which helped establish the Tiffany name as a lasting symbol of New York glamour and jewellery. Portman also remembers Tiffany jewellery being a popular choice for milestone celebrations, including bat mitzvahs, where the brand's Heart necklace became a classic gift.
Speaking about her relationship with the jewellery house, Portman said: “I think it was the only jewellery that I had a connection to as a young teenager, from seeing Breakfast at Tiffany's, of course, and also at bat mitzvah age, where you'd always give the Tiffany Heart necklace as a classic gift... I've really felt lucky to get to collaborate with Tiffany's throughout my life.”
