Heston Blumenthal Partners with Murray Cod Australia

Celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal has been appointed as an ambassador for inland aquaculture enterprise Murray Cod Australia, and will 'act as an advisor to the company with its menu and product development'.

Murray Cod announced on Monday that his company Fat Duck group will become a shareholder through the issue of 1.5 million fully paid ordinary shares. The value of the deal was not given, although Murray Cod Australia’s ASX-listed shares jumped 6.45 per cent to 16.5 cents by 1020 AEST following the news. Blumenthal also signed a five-year endorsement deal to become a key advocate for the business, promoting its pond-grown Aquna Sustainable Murray Cod on social media and at industry events. “He will also provide assistance and advice with menu and product development,” Murray Cod said in a release to the ASX.
