Dakota Fanning: Biography

Dakota Fanning is an American actress who began her career as a child performer and went on to establish herself as a successful film and television actress. Her career has included major Hollywood productions, independent films and acclaimed television roles.

Early Life

Hannah Dakota Fanning was born on 23 February 1994 in Conyers, Georgia. She grew up in a family with a strong sporting background. Her father, Steve Fanning, played professional baseball, while her mother, Heather Joy Arrington, was a professional tennis player.

Fanning showed an interest in acting at a very young age. After appearing in local productions and commercials, she moved with her family to Los Angeles to pursue professional acting opportunities.

Childhood Acting Career

Fanning’s major breakthrough came in 2001 when she starred opposite Sean Penn in I Am Sam. She played Lucy Diamond Dawson, the young daughter of Penn’s character.
