Japanese automaker Nissan has signed The Wolf of Wall Street and Suicide Squad star Margot Robbie as its first electric vehicle ambassador, making her the face of Nissan’s EV and zero emission program.
Margot stars in a film (watch below) where she tests the Nissan BladeGlider, which can top 100kph in less than five seconds, against an identical all-electric sports car.
The BladeGlider is an EV based loosely on the DeltaWing race car, with a center-mounted driver's seat and two passenger seats on either side.

The video forms part of the ad campaign #ElectrifyTheWorld, which aims to get more people talking about sustainability and zero emissions living.
The ad showcases the fun and excitement of pure electric vehicles, which definitely seems to be the case with the BladeGlider. It can go from 0-60 mph in less than five seconds, and defies the conventional thinking of what an all-electric sports car could look like in the future.
Margot says, "It's a really exciting time for electric vehicles. More people are choosing to go electric, leading the way to a more sustainable future and the Nissan BladeGlider hints at the future of smarter performance cars."
The electric vehicle revolution continues to take over, as evidenced by this advertising campaign.
In addition to another announced role as her “Suicide Squad” character Harley Quinn, Margot will play former Olympic ice skater Tonya Harding in “I, Tonya,” set to hit theaters in 2018. Safe to say that Margot Robbie is an excellent product endorsement choice.
