Chopard has revealed a collaboration with celebrity influencer Rihanna to create a new collection of jewellery.
Barbadian popstar and celebrity influencer Rihanna has turned her hand to designing jewellery in a fitting collaboration with Chopard, which launches in June.
The ‘Diamonds’ singer, who regularly wears Chopard jewellery on the red carpet, has teamed up with the brand on a nine-piece capsule collection of fine jewellery as well as one-of-a-kind High Jewellery creations.
Rihanna has already debuted three pieces from the range: the extravagant floral chandelier earrings and marquise-cut diamond ring that she wore at the Grammys in February.
The celebrity influencer comments, “I have always been in love with Chopard’s exquisite jewellery, so to actually design collections with them is something I still can’t believe. It was a really incredible process and I learned so much! I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
In addition to the High Jewellery creations, Rihanna has collaborated with Chopard’s co-president and creative director Caroline Scheufele on additions to the Ice Cube range, a Chopard classic that was originally released in 1999.
“Rihanna and I collaborated closely on the collections so you can feel her unstoppable energy, strong creativity, and inherent sense of design in every piece,” says Scheufele. “With her unique style, she redefines the way people see and wear jewellery.”
The collection is to debut in May 2017 and celebrates Chopard’s 20th year as the official partner of the Cannes Film Festival.
