Rachel Riley and Stephen Fry star alongside long-stading celebrity ambassador Kevin Bacon for EE’s latest brand campaign.
Mobile network operator EE continues its tradition of celebrity endorsements by bringing Rachel Riley and Stephen Fry on board to star in the brand’s newest advertising campaign which celebrates the 4G network being independently verified as 50 per cent faster than competitors O2, Vodafone and Three.
Long-standing celebrity ambassador Kevin Bacon is back as the face of EE, this time to host a spoof TV show entitled ‘It’s a No Brainer’, joined by pop-intellectual Stephen Fry and maths genius Rachel Riley. The two-part series of TV adverts sees the two try to unravel the mystery of why consumers would choose to be on any other network besides EE. When neither can produce an answer, Bacon exclaims: “Choose the network that’s 50% faster, it’s a no brainer Britain.”
Spencer McHugh, director of brand at EE, said: “We know consumers are using more data than ever and relying on superfast network speeds to download more quickly and stream with better reliability and quality.
“Given recent tests have proven our network to be 50 per cent faster than our competitors, we can’t understand why anyone would choose to be on a slower network. We wanted to illustrate this using some well-known TV geniuses and we’re delighted that Rachel and Stephen are on board to help us get that message across.”
The series of TV commercials will premier during primetime TV show Gogglebox on Channel 4. The advertising campaign will also run across print, social and OOH alongside a unique execution of the TV ad for digital.
Rachel Riley previously worked with EE in 2015, when she spearheaded a nationwide brand campaign to battle digital exclusion – ensuring hundreds of people accessed the internet for the very first time at EE National Techy Tea Party Day.
