After Dinner Speakers: Will Mellor, Stephen Fry, The Counterfeit Stones

Will Mellor was born in Stockport, Cheshire, on 3 April 1976. He studied at the Julie Beach School of Dance and Drama before beginning his television career in Children's Ward and Brookside. This led to the part of James "Jambo" Bolton in the teen soap Hollyoaks, being one of the original cast members. Will left Holloaks to pursue a musical career. He released two singles, 'When I Need You' which reached No.5 in February 1998 and 'No Matter What I Do' which reached No.23 in June 1998. On his music career, Will says "I got out of the record company in 1998 because they wouldn't let me do my own music. I would love to release another record, but it would have to be the right deal. Music is my passion and I'm still writing." Returning to acting, Will appeared in Night Fever, Fat Friends, Is Harry on the Boat, and the BBC sitcom Two Pints of Lager (And a Packet Crisps). He is currently in his second season playing receptionist Jack Vincent in BBC's long-running drama series Casualty. Will's hobbies include boxing, gym, piano and fishing.
