After Dinner Speakers: Tina Charles, Sian Lloyd, Faith Brown

Former-5000 Volts singer Tina Charles made a minor splash in the disco scene during the late '70s. She met with producer Biddu in 1975 after she left her band, and soon signed to CBS Records in Britain. Her debut single, "I Love to Love," was a gigantic hit in her native England, and a minor success in America. A string of follow-up singles did nothing to improve her career, and by the late '70s the growing dislike of disco and general inability to write another successful song led to her disappearance from the music scene.
