After Dinner Speakers: The Nolans, Kate Reardon, Miranda Richardson
The Nolan's success is legendary - 2 Royal Performances, phenomenal records sales and of course their hit "I'm in the mood for Dancing" is fast becoming a cult record, being played in clubs up and down the UK.
It all began with Mum and Dad (Maureen and Tommy Nolan), professional singers who were already a great success in Ireland and later in Britain.
They were joined over the years by the rest of the family. In 1974 the parents and brothers stepped aside and The Nolan's were born.
Following a season at the London Rooms in Drury Lane, London , the girls became a household name almost overnight when they guested on the entire series of The Cliff Richard Show. The series led to The Nolan's guesting on Frank Sinatra's 1975 European tour and their career exploded with countless TV appearances, summer seasons and overseas tours.
The list of greats they have worked with is endless - Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, Perry Como, James Garner to name but a few and just about every great British celebrity including Tom Jones, Dudley Moore, Englebert Humperdink even appearing with heavy rock band Motorhead.
The Nolan's have set standards that will never be equaled and after many years at the top are still enjoying every minute and look forward to entertaining for many years to come.
