The former Everton and Manchester United goalkeeper joins Tag Heuer’s impressive stable of international soccer stars, which includes Portugal’s four-time world player of the year Cristiano Ronaldo, German World Cup-winning defender Mats Hummels and Borussia Dortmund’s Japanese star midfielder Shinji Kagawa.
"I’m proud to be a brand ambassador for Tag Heuer, one of the most iconic luxury sport brands in the world,” said Howard. "We share the same dedication to precision and commitment to excellence under pressure, which makes this partnership a great fit. I’m really looking forward to working together."
Tag Heuer is the official watch and timekeeper of US soccer’s top-tier Major League Soccer (MLS), as well as England’s Premier League, the Bundesliga in Germany, Spain’s La Liga and Ligue 1, after it agreed a partnership with France’s Professional Football League (LFP) late last month.
Howard, who plays for the Colorado Rapids in MLS, recently starred for the US national team as they hosted the 2017 Concacaf Gold Cup. The Americans beat Jamaica 2-1 in the final at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California on 27th July.
