Sue Barker is a British Grand Slam tournament champion. Having won in Paris she was also a Wimbledon semi finalist in 1977 and achieved a highest ranking of world number three. Sue Barker is now one of BBC TV's main sports presenters having begun working in sports broadcasting in 1985 with Australia's Channel 7, she joined the BBC in 1990. Sue Barker was the main anchor for the Manchester Commonwealth Games and presents the majority of athletics coverage, her favourite sport, for the BBC. She is also a regular host of Sunday Grandstand, one of the presentation team for the BBC's annual Sports Review of the Year, and is host of the long-running quiz show A Question of Sport. Sue received the prestigious TRIC award for sports presenter of the year in 1998 and was made an MBE in 2000. A speaker with a unique view of UK sport
