Since her retirement from Athletics in September 1997 following a return of the injury which forced her to pull out of the semi-finals at the Atlanta Olympics, Sally has developed into one of the countries leading spokeswomen on well-being in the fitness industry.
In 1999 she fronted Channel 4’s athletics coverage and is now an integral part of the BBC’s sports coverage team. Sally has also presented a series for children’s Channel 4, has recently completed an acclaimed weekly feature in the Sunday Mirror magazine on general good health and fitness issues and a weekly national radio show on all matters healthy. Sally is also a figurehead for the British Heart Foundation where she is involved in a number of their key initiatives. She was also the ambassador for Millennium Youth Games and an appeal President for the British Olympic Association for Sydney 2000.
