After Dinner Speakers: Ronnie Ancona, Adam Hart-Davies, Bear Grylls

Ronni Ancona is one of the most talented and gorgeous people on UK TV, but most people have never heard of her. She even got a recent award as 'best newcomer' despite being in 'the biz' for many years. If you don't know the name, you'll surely recognise her as 'posh' or Carol Smilie in Alistair McGowan's Big Impression. I'm not the only person to think she's equally as key as Mr McGowan in that programme...and she's also better looking than Carol Smilie - which, as that appears to be Carol's central skill, does imply a lot about where Ronni should be. Recently she starred in Steve-Coogan-produced comedy show 'the Sketch Show' on ITV. Amazingly, the BBC turned this show down, probably because they are currently floundering around like a bunch of desperate twats who are too busy trying to come up with lowest-common-denominator tv-show ideas for their piss-poor cable channel efforts.
