Emilio D. Estevez was born May 12, 1962 in New York City, New York. Emilio was the first of Martin (Ramon Estevez) and Janet Sheen’s four children. His younger siblings include: Charlie (Carlos) Sheen, Ramon Estevez, and Renee Estevez. At a young age, Emilio moved with his family to Malibu, California, where he still lives today.
Emilio became interested in acting when he was a teenager in high school, and began his acting career in his late teens. Emilio, along with a few other young actors, were given the "Brat Pack" label. During this time, Emilio made such movies as The Breakfast Club and St. Elmo’s Fire. Some of Emilio’s other well-known movies are: Young Guns, it‘s sequel Young Guns 2, and The Mighty Ducks trilogy.
Emilio also became interested in writing and directing films. Some of his work in this field includes: Wisdom, Men at Work, The War at Home, and more recently, Rated X.
Emilio has two children, Taylor Levi and Paloma, with ex-girlfriend Carey Salley, who he dated in his early twenties. Emilio has also dated Demi Moore, who co-starred in Wisdom with him. In 1992, Emilio married Paula Abdul, but the marriage ended after only two years.
