After Dinner Speakers: Richard Dreyfuss, Roger Taylor, Stephen Fry

Richard Stephen Dreyfuss was born on Oct.29, 1947, in Brooklyn NY. After moving to Los Angeles when he was nine, Richard began acting at the Beverly Hills Jewish Centre. Childhood friends included Albert Brooks, Rob Reiner and Larry Bishop; all who went on to become major stars. Richards film career began with American Graffiti and continued through classics such as Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Down and Out in Beverly Hills, Stakeout, Tin Men and of course Jaws. In recent years Richard has made his directing debut with a production of Hamlet for the Birmingham Repertory Theatre but has hinted at the idea of a retirement from acting in order to fulfil his dream of becoming a history teacher. Throughout his career, Richard has proven to be one of Hollywoods truly great actors, a wonderful guest speaker with a great story to tell.
