After Dinner Speakers: Richard Digance, The Drifters, John Francome

Through perseverance and determination, Richard worked his way up through the entertainment industry, starting as a writer for the BBC and eventually becoming one of Britain's top television entertainers throughout the 1980's, culminating in a series of his own one-hour specials, that ran on London Weekend Television for a record eleven years He also recorded various programmes for BBC Radio 2, over a period of fifteen years, before joining London's Capital Radio, first as a music presenter and then as a disc jockey. Richard remained at Capital for nearly five years where he specialised in in-depth interviews with artists such as Joni Mitchell, Arlo Guthrie and Roy Orbison before eventually leaving to return to the stage as a support act and guitar player to top comedian, Jim Davidson
