After Dinner Speakers: Rebecca Stephens, Patsy Bloom, Fairport Convention

Rebecca Stephens first came to the public’s attention when she became the first woman to climb Everest in 1993. She then went on to become the first ever woman to climb the highest mountain on each of the seven continents – the so-called Seven Summits, which are; Kilimanjaro, McKinley, Everest, Elbrus, the Carstensz Pyramid, Aconcagua and Vinson. A true adventurer, she has also sailed the Southern Sea to Antarctica and has competed in an eight-day Eco-challenge with great polar explorers Sir Randulph Fiennes, and Dr Mike Stroud which involved running, biking, riding, and canoeing across the Canadian Rockies. Rebecca is an outstanding speaker on motivation and teamwork, drawing examples from her remarkable experiences. Her talent is to capture her audience and encourage individuals to believe in their own capabilities.
