After Dinner Speakers: Philippa Forester, Rory Underwood, Blondie
Charismatic, intelligent and dynamic, Philippa brings a fresh touch to all her work and as presenter of Tomorrow's World, Time Machine and Tomorrow'sWorld Roadshow it's impressive that through 98 Philippa has managed to film a second series of the hugely successful Robotwars, storm the C5 bastion Night Fever, present a fire safety programme (also for C5) and gain a First Class Honours in a second degree (Ecology and Environmental Science). ‘98 built on the good work of ‘97 which as well as Tomorrow'sWorld included a series on extreme sports for ITV's ThisMorning (License To Thrill - all sports sampled!!!), TheWorld's Strongest Man (BBC TV) and the first series of Robotwars. The revelation that was Philippa on C5s Night Fever (Karaoke for celebs) has its origins in her work for Radio 1 + The Ozone interviewing the likes of Elton John, Robert Palmer etc. This grew out of The Broom. Cupboard for Children's BBC TV- daily live shows, celebrity interviews, working with the first virtual reality TV character and of course 'Ed The Duck'. Her conservation studies and work for Tiggywinkles Animal Hospital added much to her presentation for BBC TV's Zoo Watch and the studies also embellished her live look at college options with students for GMTV for whom she also explored alternative medicine. Philippa's environmental awareness heightened with her '94 presentation of the HTV magaz'me Weekly Eco and her popularity grew that same year when she joined the The Disney Club (ITV)
