Stiles signed for Manchester United as an amateur in 1957, before signing on as a professional in 1959. Stiles went on to appear in 397 games for United, scoring 19 goals, and collecting League Championships, and the European Cup. In 1971 he left Manchester for Middlesbrough, firstly as a player, then he went on to coach, and finally manage the team. Stiles also managed West Bromwich Albion for a brief period, before returning to Manchester United in a coaching Role with the youth team.
Stiles played in just 28 games for England, and scored one goal, but most people will remember (or seen archive footage) of Nobby Stiles jigging around the Wembley pitch after England won the World Cup in 1966.
