After Dinner Speakers: Nicky Campbell, Ice Cube, Greg Rusedski

Nicky Campbell was s born in Edinburgh and was educated at the Edinburgh Academy and Aberdeen University. His first job was as a clerical officer in the civil service before gaining his first position in radio as a jingle writer for independent radio in Scotland. His evident ease at the microphone was quickly spotted and he was granted his first weekly slot reviewing opera. His popularity gained him his own breakfast show on the station, before moving to independent radio in London. Nicky joined Radio 1 in 1987, whilst continuing a television career presenting the game show, The Wheel of Fortune. Moving to Radio 5 in 1997, Nicky quickly established himself as a voice of the people, a role he has reinforced as the anchor for the Consumer Affairs programme Watchdog
