After Dinner Speakers: Murray Walker, Bob Holness, Alison Mitchell

Recently retired from commentary Murray Walker was first introduced to racing his father, Graham Walker, Graham began taking his son around the race circuits of Europe when the boy was only a toddler. After active service in the Second World War, Murray Walker forged a highly successful career as an advertising executive. The slogans ‘A Mars a day helps you work, rest and play’ and ‘An only budgie is a lonely budgie’ testified to the fact that he had a way with words. Walker's early commentaries had been in conjunction with his father, but he continued on his own after Graham's death in 1962 and finally went full-time on his retirement from the advertising business in 1982. Still without too much spare time next he has written and promoted his autobiography, a testament to his unique style. An icon, Murray Walker is a most popular speaker to enthusiastic audiences everywhere.
