After Dinner Speakers: Moshe Gerstenhaber, Cliff Morgan, BB King
Moshe Gerstenhaber studied economics at Colombia University, New York, before moving to the UK for postgraduate studies at the London School of Economics. He then moved to Israel where he worked as an economist - first for an investment company and then the country's ministry of defence.
He went on to work as the finance manager of a shipping company and a consultant before, in 1978, founding Kall-Kwik Printing (UK) Limited, and Kwik-Kopy Licensee for the UK and Europe.
In June 1999, when he sold the business, it was the largest of its kind in Europe with some 200 franchised outlets in the UK and a turnover of £75 million.
He was a long-standing member of the council of the British Franchising Association and has been granted the title Companion of the BFA.
Moshe is a strong advocate of lifelong learning and is currently studying for a Doctorate of Professional Studies at Middlesex University, London - an institution which has already awarded him an Honorary Doctorate. He is also an independent governor of Middlesex University as well as a member of the advisory board of its business school.
A proponent of Non Violent Communication, a concept designed to help reduce levels of confrontation in society, Moshe is involved with NVC's activities in the UK and Israel.
In his spare time he enjoys classical music, mountain walking, art, reading, writing and spending time with his family.
