Martin Bayfield, the former England and British Lions lock forward has an impressive international record. He made his England debut in 1991 and remained a key player until 1998 when he retired due to a serious neck injury. He gained 31 caps as an England international, winning the Grand Slam in 1992 and 1995. Martin was also a member of the England squad for the 1995 World Cup in South Africa, and after being selected for the British Lions tour to New Zealand he played in all three tests.During his career Martin played for Bedford, Northampton and the Barbarians. He is currently heavily involved in the development of the game and is the body double for the giant in the new Harry Potter film. Aa a former police officer who stands at 6 feet and 10 inches tall, Martin makes a huge impression at any event.
