After Dinner Speakers: Lisa Faulkner, Jethro Tull, Imran Khan

She may only have appeared in two episodes of the hit BBC drama Spooks, but Lisa Faulkner certainly made an impression when her character Helen was controversially killed off in the second episode. Before Spooks, Lisa was a Holby City regular and she'll shortly be seen alongside Mel B in Burn It. One of her first TV roles was as Alison Dangerfield in the 1990s BBC drama Dangerfield. She also appeared in the 1996 drama And The Beat Goes On, alongside her Spooks co-star Jenny Agutter. After an earlier appearance in Casualty, Lisa enhanced her reputation with a three year spell in Holby City as Dr Victoria Merrick between 1998 and 2001. Her character was murdered in one of the show's best remembered storylines. It was the death of her Spooks character Helen Flynn that made the headlines in 2002. Helen died when her head was plunged into a vat of boiling oil. Although the scene happened off screen it still caused many viewers to register complaints and believe the incident was actually shown in graphic detail. She's also appeared in Brookside and the films Feast of Midnight and The Scarlet Tunic.
