Karen started her career as a junior executive at the advertising company Saatchi & Saatchi in 1987. In 1988 she became a sales executive at London Broadcasting Company and then, in 1989, she became Sales and Marketing Director at Sport Newspapers Ltd. Then in 1993 Karen was appointed as Managing Director of Birmingham City Football Club, becoming the first female to hold this position in the Football League.She has now diversified into television. Karen is currently co-presenting a daily lunchtime chat show on BBC 1. She is a very accomplished speaker on women's issues, business and motivation.
