After Dinner Speakers: Johnny Vaughan, AC/DC, Gene Pitney

From April 2004, Johnny Vaughan will attempt to fill the shoes of Capital Radios star presenter Chris Tarrant when he takes over as presenter of the flagship breakfast show. Certainly a tough act to follow but Johnny Vaughan is probably the only person with sufficient energy and natural humour to make it work. A first choice presenter for many productions, Johnny is a familiar and popular face on British television, one of his latest success being the host with Suzy Perry of the iconic 70s show, Superstars. Past credits include Big Breakfast, Naked City and Johnny Vaughans World Cup Extra as well as a classic series of Strongbow adverts. Having served a jail term for possession of drugs, Johnny is an example of triumph over adversity and deservedly retains his place at the very top of any TV presenters’ list.
