Sir John Weston retired as Britain’s Ambassador to the United Nations in July 1998. Sir John was formerly British Ambassador to NATO. He performs a number of other prominent roles including Director on the Board of British Telecom; Non-executive director of Rolls-Royce honorary president of the UK-wide Community Foundation Network. An advocate for opposition to war with Iraq due to long term consequences and uncertainties, Sir John remains an eloquent commentator on world events.
