After Dinner Speakers: John Malkovich, Dr. Feelgood, Alastair Morton

John Gavin Malkovich was born in Charleson, Illinois in 1953. He was one of five children and reported to have been a moody child. Fixated with drama he was educated under the Drama programme at Illinois State University A founder member of the Steppenwolf Theatre Company he funded his art in the early days with work as a bus driver. His break came in The Killing Fields and then as best supporting Oscar winner in Places in the Heart. Further film credits include Dangerous Liaisons where he met Michelle Pfeiffer, Con Air; The Story of Joan of Arc and being John Malkovich. Most convincing as a villain, John Malkovich is a notably leading man.
