John Marwood Cleese is unique in appearance, performance and reputation. A founder member of the ground breaking Monty Pythons Flying Circus and subsequently comic actor most famous for his role as the gangly incompetent Basil Faulty. Reaching his adult height of 6' 4 by the time he was thirteen, John Cleese was always going to get noticed. Famously, he made the most of his extraordinary dimensions with the Ministry of Funny Walks for the Month Python Series. A Law graduate from Cambridge University, John produced corporate training films whilst enjoying phenomenal television popularity, he served as the Rector of St Andrews University from 1973-1976. A successful film career has followed television and radio, with starring roles in Silverado, A Fish Called Wanda, with Michael Palin and Jamie lee Curtis, and more recently as Q in the latest James Bond films.
