The former British number one won the Wimbledon mixed doubles with Jeremy Bates in 1987 and two singles titles, she reached a career high of world number five in the women's singles rankings. Her last Wimbledon was in 1995, when she lost to Jana Novotna in the second round, before she retired with knee problems. Jo is now a member of the BBC sports tennis commentary team and a part-time coach with the Lawn Tennis Association, she is currently guiding the fortunes of promising Scottish youngster Elena Baltacha.
