Jenny Pitman has been involved in horse racing since she joined a racing yard as a stable lad at the age of fifteen. Before too long Jenny had been granted a professional license to train horses and is now known as the 'First Lady of Racing'. Jenny has achieved success in the world's toughest races, most notably two Grand National triumphs. She has also won all of the other Grand Nationals, the Scottish, Welsh and Irish. In 1984 she became the only woman to train a Cheltenham Gold Cup winner and Jenny has won numerous other high-calibre races with famous horses like Garrison Savannah and Burrough Hill Lad.Having battled to become successful and recognised in what is still very much a man's world, and recently overcoming cancer, Jenny is a truly inspirational woman and a wonderful speaker.
