An internationally renowned orchestra with a unique, easy listening sound that has delighted middle-of-the-road audiences everywhere. James Last and his orchestra has been making people happy with his music for nearly 50 years, his fans are truly global, the orchestra has recently toured China. James Last was born in 1929 in Germany and was always a talented musician, attending Bremen’s Music academy at the age of fourteen. Forming a band with his brothers in the 1950s, James was voted best jazz bassist from 1950 to 1952. In 1965 the first James Last Orchestra recording, Non Stop Dancing, dominated the charts, a feat that has been repeated time and time again over the next fifty years
