Howard Davies has held a number of extremely high profile positions in a career spanning over twenty years. He worked at HM Treasury from 1976 to 1982, moving on to become special advisor to the Chancellor of the Exchequer in 1986-87 and controller of the Audit Commission for Local Authorities and the NHS. Howard also spent three years from 1992 to 1995 as the Director General of the CBI and followed by two years as Deputy Goverenor of the Bank of England.Howard is a witty and highly entertaining speaker, and an intellectual authority on the economy and Europe.
