Gene Kranz was NASA's chief flight director for over 30 years, leading Mission Control's efforts for the greatest space flights in history, including the Apollo 11 moon landing, the Apollo 13 rescue and the spectacular space shuttle mission that repaired the Hubble Telescope.During his career at NASA he demonstrated extraordinary courage and heroism especially when he devised a plan for how to bring the Apollo 13 spaceship back to earth, earning him numerous awards and honours including the Presidential Medal of Freedom.Gene is currently an author, and a flight engineer on the B-17 'Flying Fortress'. He also speaks with raw brilliance about the qualities essential to professional excellence, inspiring and motivating audiences with his message "Failure is not an option".
