After Dinner Speakers: Dennis Taylor, Bad Manners, Linda Evangelista

Dennis Taylor was born in Northern Ireland in 1949 and came to the British mainland as a new professional snooker player in 1971. Most famous for the ultimate win 1985 when he defeated Steve Davis on the final black to become World Champion in front of a record Television audience of 18.5 million. That victory was the peak of a purple patch of good form that Dennis puts down partly to his wacky upside down specs. Dennis retired from Professional Tournament play in April 2000 to pursue his career off the table both commentating for the major snooker tournaments and as a very busy after dinner speaker.
