David Jason was born David John White on 2nd February 1940 in Edmonton. The son of a Billingsgate fish porter, he started his career as an electrician, and now he is the most popular actor on British TV. His many accolades include most recently the Royal Television Society's Award for Best Actor and Top Television Comedy Actor at the British Comedy Awards.
His impressive list of television credits include Open All Hours with Ronnie Barker; A Touch of Frost in which he appears with his younger brother; The Darling Buds of May which ran for three years and introduced Catherine Zeta-Jones; and perhaps his biggest hit, Only Fools and Horses where he played the loveable spiv, Rodney Trotter.
David Jason has dominated British Television comedy for twenty years and is as impressive and amusing at live events as he has ever been on the small screen.
