After Dinner Speakers: David Gower, Sally Meen, Killer Queen

One of the all time great Test match batsmen, David Gower was the most graceful at the crease. With a county career spanning 25 years, David captained England from 1984 to 1986. His record is stunning, having scored 8231 test runs including 18 hundreds, beating all except Graham Gooch. In 1992 David was awarded an OBE for services to cricket. David has written several books including an autobiography entitled ‘Gower, the Autobiography’. Now a broadcaster and journalist, David spends much of his time hosting Sky’s coverage of international cricket. He also spent 5 years as a commentator for BBC TV and Radio and can also be seen trading sporting gibes with Gary Linekar, Nick Hancock, Rory McGrath and Jonathan Ross on They Think Its All Over. A knowledgeable speaker, David Gower has much to say on the intricacies and intrigue of international cricket.
