Born in 1966 in Dulwich. Chris Eubank had a troubled childhood – after being suspended and expelled from two schools he was eventually put into care. After being placed in various institutions by Social Services.he then lived on the streets for one and a half years, before his father took him to New York at the age of 16 where he graduated from high school.
He took up boxing while at school in the USA and won the amateur Spanish Golden Glove Championships in New York in 1984. He turned professional in 1995. His early fights took place in Atlantic City but he came back to the UK in 1988 and was with Barry Hearn from his 13th fight to his 43rd fight. In 1990 Chris won the World MiddleWeight title against Nigel Benn. He had 43 straight wins before his first loss. To date out of 25 World Championship fights, he has only lost 5 fights. He holds the record for the most unbeaten World Title wins in British history and has had 19 consecutive World Title wins.
Chris is known not just for his boxing but for his eccentric personality and penchant for natty dressing – he was awarded Best Dressed man in 1991 and 1993 by the Menswear Association of Great Britain as well as Best Dressed Sportsman Award by the Express. His participation in Celebrity Big Brother in 2001 showed the public the warmer side of his personality.
He has also spoken to numerous Universities, Secondary Schools and Infant Schools, such as Eton, Cambridge University (4 times), Oxford University (twice), Trinity College, Dublin (twice), London School of Economics, London University and Sussex University. Chris supports several charities and
