After Dinner Speakers: Wendy Turner, Uriah Heep, Chris Packham

As the popular presenter of Channel 4’s hit series Pet Rescue, Wendy Turner Webster has become one of the most famous faces on British Television. Her four series have seen ratings rise from one million to three million and the show dominates the daytime schedules as one of the highest rated shows across all channels. Her success in that programme has led to spin-off series such as "Absolutely Animals", "Pet Rescue Roadshow" and "Family Pet Rescue". Wendy followed that success in 2000 by co-presenting the BBC1 prime-time Saturday night show "Your Kids are in Charge", along with her sister Anthea. She has also filmed a series of pieces for Sky Digital’s new "Baby Channel" Being launched Spring 2001. Wendy also has an impressive pantomime background, starring in Cinderella, Goldilocks, Robin Hood and Aladdin. It was whilst starring as Maid Marion that she fell in love with her Robin Hood, television star Gary Webster. The pair married in 1998 and are now proud parents of Jack. Wendy has numerous other television credits to her name. She started her career as a presenter of "Revelations" and "Video Box" for Live TV. Wendy is an experienced corporate presenter and covered Crufts 1999. Her skills also lie in writing cookery books and she has produced her own vegan cookery book.She is passionate about international animal welfare, which has led to projects such as flying to Navola on behalf of the Born Free Foundation for national press features.
