After Dinner Speakers: Victoria Wood, Benicio Del Toro, Paul Young

Victoria Wood studied drama at Birmingham University, before beginning to sing her own comic songs on local radio and television as a student. Her television career began with a slot in That’s Life (1976), and includes Wood and Walters (1981 – 2), Victoria Wood As Seen on TV (1984 – 7) and An Audience with Victoria Wood (1988, BAFTA Award). Frequently appearing in stage revues, she has also published several books including Up To You, Porky (1985) and Mens Sana in Thingummy Doodah (1990). Creator of all her own sketches, songs and stand-up routines her bubbly personality makes her a highly amusing and infectious after-dinner speaker or awards host.
