After Dinner Speakers: Venga Boys, Yolanda Adams, Richard Portes

The Latino dance troupe the Vengaboys was spearheaded by DJ Danski and Delmundo, two Spanish DJs who between the years of 1992 and 1997, toured Spain and Ibiza in a bus, bringing their provocative grooves and sexy lyrics to beaches for impromptu dance parties. In 1996, after adding dancers/singers Roy, Denice, Kim and Robin to the mix, Danski and Delmundo hit the open road and began hitting beaches throughout Europe. The following year they released their first single, "Up & Down," in Germany, Italy, Israel, France and Scandinavia. A huge success in Europe, the single finally made its way to America in 1998.
