Twiggy first became internationally known in the late 60's as one of the world's leading fashion models. She then went on to become a successful actress in film, stage, and television, beginning her acting career by starring in Ken Russel's THE BOYFRIEND, for which she won two Golden Globe awards, one for Most Promising Newcomer and one for Best Actress in a musical / comedy. She had considerable success and received great reviews for her portrayal of Eliza Doolittle in Yorkshire Television's production of PYGMALION with Robert Powell. She then had outstanding success and rave reviews in the Tony Award winning Broadway musical MY ONE & ONLY with Tommy Tune. The musical ran for nearly two years and she was nominated for a Tony for her performance.On the musical side, Twiggy has had her own series (two seasons) on the BBC and has recorded several albums
