International yachtsman, Tony Bullimore was really not that well known until recently despite being one of the best yachtsmen in Europe. That all changed in 1997 when everyone was glued to their television sets after Tony's yacht capsized amid the icy waters of the Southern Ocean. All hopes of finding him alive started to fade after attempts to find him proved fruitless. However, against all odds, determination and the Bulldog spirit kept him alive despite suffering from dehydration, hypothermia and frostbite as he was marooned in a small air pocket in the hull of his up turned yacht Vendee Globe. His book, 'Saved', accounts the whole story and Tony gives a first hand account when speaking at events.
