Sir Tom Stoppard OM is among the first rank of living playwrights. In his sixties he shows no sign of decline, producing new theatre work every few years, and a trickle of top quality screenplays for cinema and television. Early in his career he produced some memorable radio plays. From Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead to The Invention of Love he has dazzled and entertained theatre audiences across the world. Cinema audiences also enjoyed the fruits of his talent in the movie Shakespeare in Love which won for him and his collaborator Marc Norman the Oscar for best screenplay.
