In 2001 Tim Sebastian won Britain's prestigious Royal Television Society Interviewer of the Year award for the second year running. Born in London on 13th March 1952, Tim speaks Russian and German, is the author of six novels and two non-fiction books and holds a BA Honours degree in modern languages from Oxford University
Based in Warsaw from 1979, Tim became the BBC's Europe Correspondent in 1982 and later was based in Moscow and Washington.
Now presenter of Hard Talk, he interviews Prime ministers, kings, authors and actors he has won many accolades including The Richard Dimbleby Award and Television Journalist of the Year.
