Sir Terence Beckett has held numerous senior roles in industry in his career. He worked for Ford Motor Company Ltd for 30 years where he rose through the ranks to become Managing Director in 1974 and Chairman in 1976. While he was Chief Executive profits after tax increased from Ł3m per annum to Ł347m.In 1978 he was voted Businessman of the Year. Terence was also Director General of the CBI from 1980 to 1987.
