After Dinner Speakers: Steve McDermot, Phil Cool, Adam Hills

For fifteen years Steve McDermott earned his living purely from generating ideas as Creative Director of one of the North's most successful advertising agencies. He is a former multi-award winning copy writer and was especially fond of writing radio commercials.Steve now runs his own company specialising in helping individuals and companies to develop new ways of thinking. Amongst other things, Steve is fascinated by what makes people happy and successful. He says he want to know what it is that enables some men and women to achieve their dreams. And what it is that gets in the way of most people and prevents them from fulfilling their ambitions.Steve's current engagements include workshops for blue-chip companies once a month on a canal boat in Leeds, and the larger, public 'New Way of Thinking' seminar held twice a year at the Royal Armouries Museum. The broad topics covered by his presentations include motivation, how to be more creative, vision and goal setting, time management, communication, presentation and selling skills. He can also give an introduction to NLP, (Neuro Linguistic Programming) a scientifically developed, proven way, to change the way you think and behave in order to do literally anything with excellence, which is fast becoming a very hot business topic. Steve's most infamous technique is to demonstrate how to break a solid piece of wood, with one punch, with just a few minutes instruction. Steve is a highly-acclaimed motivator and an excellent speaker at conferences or seminars
