Steve is one of the best javlin throwers ever to come out of Great Britain. During his career he has won countless medals. In 1988 he was the holder of the World Junior record, in 1989 he became the UK record holder and in Auckland in 1992 he became world record holder.Steve has won medals in all of the major athletics meetings such as the Commonwealth Games and the European Championships since 1990. He has also won a medal in the last three Olympic Games, bronze in 1992, silver in 1996 and silver again in the Sydney 2000 Games.Steve is an exceptionally committed and inspirational athlete, making him an excellent motivational speaker.
