Ruth Lea is currently Head of the Policy Unit at the Institute of Directors (IoD). Prior to joining the IoD in 1995, she was Economics Editor at ITN. Prior to ITN she worked in the city first at the Mitsubishi Bank, rising to Chief Economist, and then at Lehman Brothers as their Chief UK Economist. Ruth began her climb up the economical ladder spending over 16 years in the Civil service working within The Treasury, The Department of Trade and Industry, The Central Statistical office and The Civil Service college. Ruth’s invaluable and expert knowledge of the economy makes her a fascinating after-dinner speaker.
